San Diego Soccer Club Recreational All Star Challenge

TOURNAMENT RULES:

FIFA laws of the game will apply with modifications  approved by CYSA-SOUTH.

All games will be considered final and NO PROTESTS will be allowed.

A. Registration.

All teams will register at the mandatory registration. Laminated USYSA player ID cards will be required for all players, coaches and administrators. All players must have CYSA or AYSO laminated player passes with the player's signature and photo will be required of all players to be submitted at the start of the tournament. Medical release forms will be required for all players at initial check-in. (AYSO teams are also required to complete these forms in addition to tournament application; 1). Travel application 2). B. Players

Recreational players are eligible to play only, NO COMPETITIVE PLAYERS ALLOWED

Rosters are limited to 18 players for Under 12 and above, 14 players for Under 7,Under 8, and Under 10. All teams must have laminated 2017-18 player cards. A player can only play for one team in the tournament.

Each team must have matching uniforms, shorts, shirts and socks. Home team is listed first on the schedule, in case of color conflict home team must change shirts.

No player can play in more than 1 team in the tournament.

C. Coaches

Coaches must have a current 2017 Administrator/Coach card.

Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players, parents and fans. Coaches, players, parents and fans should conduct themselves in a proper and respectful manner.

D.  Age and Divisions

We will offer the NEW AGE/Birth year Divisions for boys and girls per State Association:

Under 7 born in 2011 or later. (will play 7v7)

Under 8 born in 2010 or later. (will play 7v7)

Under 9 born in 2009 or later. (will play 7v7)

Under 10 born in 2008 or later. (will play 7v7)

Under 12 born in 2006/2007 or later. (will play 9v9)

Under 14 born in 2004/2005 or later. (will play 11v11)

E. Fees

Entry fee for the tournament is $425 for u7 thru u10,  $475 for u12,  $525 for U14.. Entry deadline is November 15, 2017. Notification of acceptance will be sent via e-mail two weeks prior to the tournament.

All payments by check or money order will be made to: Mitchell Soccer Academy and mailed to 13902 Powers Rd. Poway, CA 92064

We will use a 3 referee system for all U12 and U14 games. A one referee system for U7, U8 and U10 games.

 Quarterfinal games tied at end of play will go directly to FIFA penalty kicks.

Semi final games tied at the end of play will go directly to FIFA penalty kicks.

Final game  tied at the end of regulation will go to two 10 minutes overtime halves. If tied at the end of second overtime play, we will go to FIFA penalty kicks.

 

F. Point System:

We will use the 10 point system:

  1. 6 Points for a win
  2. 3 points for a tie
  3. 1 point for shut-out, including 0-0 ties
  4. 1 point /goal (maximum 3 goals /game)
  5. 0 point/loss
  6. 1 point will be deduct for any player or coach that gets red carded. A coach who gets ejected due to misconduct will be asked to leave the field and will be required to miss the next scheduled game . If there is no other team administrator to continue the game, the game will be recorded as a forfeit with the score of 1-0 awarded to the opponent.

 

TIEBREAKER:

  1. Head to head competition
  2. Goal Differential up to a max of 4 per game(ex. winning 6-1 will only count as a goal differential of 4 either way and not 5).
  3. Least goals allowed
  4. Most Goals scored up to a max of 4 goals more than your opponent each game. (ex. winning 6-1 will only count as 5 goals scored for the game)
  5. FIFA penalty kicks. 5 players will take the kicks, if still tied after the first 5 kicks, we will go to sudden death.

 

G. AYSO Team Requirements

All AYSO teams need team roster for travel with all proper signatures, and application for travel with all proper signatures.

 

 

H. Refunds and Cancellation:

In case of cancellation of the tournament , (rain or act of god) the tournament will refund each team 50% of the entry fee. If first game is played this policy does not apply and no refunds will be issued.
